There are many similarities among the human beings and animals. Other organisms like, fungus or amoeba do not posses many attributes which higher order animals like dolphins, elephants or monkeys have. Certain attributes which we as humans have like culture, memory or emotions are also there among animals. Identification is the process of reflecting the attributes that one has on others as well therefore, we tend to identify more with animals than other organisms. For example, Culture is said to be comprised of all those behaviors which do not have genetic basis, in other words, all behaviors and activities which are not genetically driven and which are found throughout a local population may be defined as culture. The arts and humanities, religions, shared attitudes and practices are all different facets of culture. For an activity to be deemed cultural, it must not be directly caused by genetics, it must be passed on from one individual to another throughout a population and it must be passed down through generations. Many primates have their own cultures and traditions, such as the rain dances some chimpanzee groups perform at the beginning of storms.
Overall, it may be concluded that animals therefore more closely related to animals than other organisms.
