Select an ethnic group that you are somewhat familiar with (other than your own) and explain how some of your norms differ from what you perceive to be the norms of the selected ethnic group

Solutions

Expert Solution

The ethnic group I would like to discuss is about the norms of the Christianity and the difference I have seen for what I percieved it to be are as follows:

1. Love your neighbor as yourself: For what I have always percieved is that in Christianity loving your family members and people as common in general are practiced but I never knew that especially showing love and concern to the neighbor is actually mentioned in their Bible on even in their norms of Christianity.

2. Love your enemies: Again, I have also believed that in Christianity is that to always forgive your enemies but I never thought that in Christianity you would have to love your enemies. Loving your enemies is one new thing that I never thought of.

3. Repentance of sins is essential: At last, repentance means that you have to regret and feel sorry about the sins you have committed in your life. I have always percieved that sins that have been occured to one in this culture should be taken care of and be recovered as soon as possible. I never thought grieving and regretting about the sins is essential in it.
