The title of the course is ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND EXPERT SYSTEMS I. All answers should be based on that. Please do not copy and paste answers on chegg or on google for me. All answers should be based on your understanding on the course. Please try as much to answer the questions based on what is asked and not setting your own questions and answering them. Let it be if you want to copy and paste answers.

(a) AI concentrates on developing systems which enables the
computer to
perform human-like activities through 'reasoning' based on
programmed rules. Explain how this ‘reasoning’ is factored in
developing simple expert system for medical diagnosis that is
based
on interview and for suggesting a list of ten common drugs.
(b) The subject area of expert (knowledge based) systems is a
branch
of artificial intelligence (AI); which in turn is a branch of
computer
science that attempts to understand the nature of intelligence
and
produce new classes of intelligent machines. Considering the fields
of
engineering or business, demonstrate with five (5) practical
diagrams
and explain how they represent new classes of
intelligence.
(c) As compared to humans, computers can process more
information at a
faster rate. For instance, if the human mind can solve a
mathematics
problem in 5 minutes, AI can solve 10 problems in less than a
minute.
What could be the reasons, if rather; a computer solves 5
mathematics
problems in a minute whiles human solves 10 problems in 5
minutes.

Hello,
Solution 1: According to a report millions of bytes of data is being generated each and everyday and this is met by the continuous improvements in the field of Computing Machinery or Computing power. This conjunction of the data and the computing powet is helping the field of Artififcal Intelligence to propel. An expert system is nothing but a kind of software application that helps is capable of taking decisions on its own on the basis of the trends and the patterns that it has learnt from the data in the past. These expert systems are able to learn the trends and the patterns present in the data with the help of a suitable machine learning or deep learning algorithm. A learning algorithm is nothing but a procedure to perform the mapping of the input data to the output data and it tries to optimize this process in order to learn the best parameters.
Solution 2: The developments in the field of Artificial Intelligence have led to the upbringing of several other fields and few of them are described in brief down below:
Interactive AI: This is the that branch of AI that actually deals with the design and development of the AI systems that can help the users to interact with the computer systems in an efficient way such as chatbots, etc.
Functional AI: It deals with the development of the AI systems that are related with the automation of the devices and the machines that are helpful in the day-to-day activties in the business such as Robots, AI,etc.
Visual AI: It deals with the design and development of the computer programs that can help the users provide an amazing visual experience such as Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, Computer Vision.
Text AI: It deals with the design and development of the prrograms that can draw insights from the text data that is fed to the system. Example: Natural Language Processing, etc.
Analytics AI: It is responsible for the designa anf development of the software programs that can help the business to make better decisions on the basis of the informations and insights churned out of the data.
Solution 3: The computing power of human brain is way faster as compared to a computer, but the fact that the computer can solved a large number of mathematical problems in a smaller amount of time is due to the fact that these systems are specifically engineered to solve these kind of tasks and they cannot be distracted on their own and they do not jave any emotions or ambitions. Emotions is a factor that plays an important role in differentiating between the systems and the human brain and it kind of distracts the human brain and prevents it from performing better. Second thing is that the architecture of the human brain is pretty much complex as compared to that of a computer system because of whoch the computr system can solve the problems at a much faster pace as compared to a human brain.
