Defination of intelligence and artificial intelligence:
Intelligence is a term used for humans whose formal defination defines intelligence as a mental ability/skill for solving problems, it is a mental ability which is involved in reasoning, learning, performing and finding optimal solutions to problems.

Artificial intelligence:
It is a simulation of human intelligence by machines, in simple words machines and think and perform on their own understandings just like humans do, which includes learning through information and creating rules using that information, reasoning in which the rules which were created in learning process are used to reach approximate conclusions or solutions, and if wrongly evaluated it also involves self correction, and all of these are performed by machines. Artificial intelligence can be for a single task or a machine, or it can be generalized with human cognitive abilities.

Yes machines can think with the help of artificial intelligence as mentioned in the defination it involves learning process after which machines can think of themselves and reach to a conclusion.

What do you think intelligence is? Sternberg makes a division between operational and real definitions. The operational definition defines a concept in terms of the way it is measured. The real definition is one that attempts to make us understand the true nature of the concept being defined. What is your real definition? How can we operationally define intelligence?
