what are the Descriptive Assumptions in the Death Penalty Article? Descriptive assumptions are also unstated.

They are the glue that binds the reasons to the conclusions. The descriptive assumption is the main underlying assumption the article. What must we assume about individuals convicted of murder? Dont over think this. If you would support the death penalty with the intensity of the author, what would you believe in your heart of hearts?

Solutions

Expert Solution

Death penalty or capital punishment should not be supported. There are many horrible murder that appear beyond any consideration. Some people think that capital punishment is the right way to punish the murderer. There are many terrorists who should be killed.

But instead of capital punishment some other steps can be taken that may be more effective than capital punishment. The offender is convicted for ever. A murderer can never be psychologically fit and he is surely a victim of psychological disorder. Naturally if he is imparted treatment he will be cured and then his sense of guilt will be so intense that he will always suffer from it.

Some people think that such prisoners cause the wastage of public money. In such case the convicts must be employed in activity within the jail compound so that he can earn his own livelihood.

Such murderers should be completely barred from any relationship with the family members. They will not have any hope of release.

However, it has already been proved that capital punishment can never erase crime. It should be banned. The researchers should think severe alternative punishment.
