Given the results of a crosstabulation of Sex and Favourability towards the death penalty in all cases where a death occurs.
The data are as below
|
 Vary Favourable |
 Somewhat favourable |

 Total |

Since this is classic case of comparing the association between two attributes/categorical variable.
As asked, providing the hypothesis for this problem.
The hypothesis would be
Null Hypothesis(H0): Sex and Favourability towards the death penalty are independent.
Or There is no association between Sex and Favourability towards the death penalty.
Vs
Alternative Hypothesis(H1): Sex and Favourability towards the death penalty are not independent.
Or There is a association between Sex and Favourability towards the death penalty.
Note: Kindly do share your data either in text format or actual screenshot instead of link. :-)
