Discuss biodata, application blanks, training and experience evaluation, and reference check as selection predictors, when each should be used, and legal implications of each.
Bio data is a document which focuses on personal details like date
of birth gender religion race nationality etc. It is generally 1to2
pages long. Bio data generally used in India when people are
applying for government jobs. These are also required in research
grants where a person has to describe in detail about
himself.
An application blank is a highly structured interview in which each
and every questions properly planned. Generally in an application
blank the question is asked related to the personal history.
Application bank in generally used for getting information from a
prospective candidates. Almost all the organization use application
blank.
Training-
Training is the process of guiding and individual of how a
particular work is done. Training is is done to make the person
aware of the correct procedure of doing the work. The objective of
training is to make a person fit for the the job he is working and
get the desired results which the company is expecting.
Experience evaluation
It is the process of verifying the details of the candidate in
terms of experience he has written in his CV. It is to check
whether the experience is is right or wrong .
The benefit of experience evaluation is the company will get to
know whether the person who is claiming the experience as mentioned
is right or wrong ,this will help the company in finding out the
right candidate for it.
Reference check-
Whenever person has mentioned some experience in his CV in any
previous company, the first check is about verifying whether the
details are right or wrong. Reference Check involves testification
from any of the Senior Under whom the person was working
previously, about the working of the employee.
The benefit of reference check is the company can be sure about the
personal conduct of their new employee whom it is about to
hire.
The legal implication of all the documents which are discussed
above are considered to be valid, if they are written on a stamp
paper and certified by an advocate regarding the authenticity of
the same.
