How does each coronary branch supply blood to the heart?
Heart supplies blood to whole body but heart too requires blood for it's proper working hence coronary branches supply to heart and forms coronary circulation.
The heart muscles are supplied by two branches of coronary arteries namely left and right Coronary arteries. These both arteries originates from the sinuses behind the cusps of aortic valves at the root of the Aorta.
The right Coronary artery emerges on the surface of heart between right auricle and the pulmonary trunk from then it winds around the inferior border of heart reach upto posterior inter-ventricular groove , finally terminates by anastomosing with left coronary artery.
The left coronary branch arises from left aortic sinus arises between pulmonary trunk and left auricle then gives off left circumflex artery finally winds up around left border and anastomoses with right Coronary artery and terminates.
