Psychotherapy:
Psychotheraphy is the process of providing mental health care to individuals. This will help the individual to change a behaviour or mitigate troublesome behaviour by constant one on one interaction or sometimes group. It generally involves the mental well being of individuals. This majorly involves verbal and psychological techniques.
Professions that provide psychotherapy:
There are hundreds of professions that offer psychotherapy. This invloves art therapist,music therapist, Marriage and Family therapist,Pastoral Counsellors,Peer specialist,Nurse psychotheraphy, Certified mental health counsellor,Certified alcohol and drug abuse counsellor,Clinical social worker, Licensed professional counsellor.
Different settings in which psychotherapy can be provided:
Based on the psychotherapist chosen,the psychotherapy is provided in different settings. It typically involves a sound proof room,private practice centres,agency or community centers. Listed below are the various psychotherapist and the settings in which they provide:

Inpatient mental health care is offered to people who suffer from various mental problem. These people could include highly depressed individuals,schizoaffective disorder,bipolar disorder etc., Here the individuals are analysed for the cause behind such behaviour and are tailored with suitable goals for them to acheive, through intensive care. The unit analyses the various therapies that could provide recovery and positive impact over the individual and use that technique. Once the person is stabilized then there will be plans that will help the individual to cop up with the therapies offered. This will finally help the person to attain goal and help in normal social interaction and well being.
Individuals here are given 24*7 care by psychartist,psychologist and therapists. The individuals here are allowed to express themselves via art therapy, music therapy, writting theraphy etc., In order to reduce the effect they are given therapy such as Occupational therapy, Individual and group therapy, Occupational therapy, Recreation etc.,
Group therapy-Where an individual or group therapists treat a small group.
Occupational therapy- Helps in providing individuals involve in daily activities of their lives.
Recreation- It is an recreation based activity used for providing mental health to people. It is usually done for fun or leisure.
The inpatient mental health care provides a safe and controlled environment for individual development and well being.
