How can poorly written objectives derail the effectiveness of your training? What strategies can you use to ensure you create good objectives?
Poorly written objectives can derail the effectiveness of our training as the participants will not know the objectives from the beginning; they will not know what they are expected to learn. There will be a loss of focus on the desired outcomes. The purpose of our training will not be put in concrete, measurable terms. The strategies can you use to ensure you create good objectives is determining the kind of learning the students are intended to gain from training, for example for knowledge-based learning involves knowledge retention and the development of intellectual skills. If considered skill-based; it will involve; physical movement, coordination, and motor skills. For writing learning objectives we must be answering three questions; as a result of the course, training, what will participants be able to do after the training. The conditions or circumstances needed to perform the training. The materials needed for training. The level of proficiency is needed to perform the training skillfully
