The term, stress in an employee arises from the situation where work demands, exceeds the capability and capacity of the individualNow in this case the company expectation is  very high  from the employee, irrespective ofwhether they will be able to do it or not according to the employees capability and efficiency, This condition leads to work related stress

Occupational stress occurrs when someone takes job related stress.Occupational stress is also said to be health risk and can be seen in behavior,health,medical disorders or any other diseases.The reason behind this occupational stress are many such as

a)The knowledge and the responsibility is not sinking well enough,hence people feel stressed at work when they are unable to deliver.

b)When the responsibility is more it increases the work load of the person which leads to the increased stress level.

c)Long working hours is another reason adding to this worry along with tight deadlines.

d)Job security is big issue among employees .They are very insecure that if they will not work like this may be they can loose out.Hence job security is a big reason behind job stress now a days.

e)Change in organization leads to change in work culture theis directly effects the mental condition of an employee.The stress level increase due to the factor as they feel it a bit difficult to adjust in the new work environment.

f)Sometimes monotonous work or boring job also increase stress as people feel they are doing same thing from years which will lead to no development of ther personal being.They won't learn new skills and with the time when new technology will come it will lead to job loss.Advancement with any job is necessary but when the work is repetitive it give a sense og boredom which reduces even the capacity of employee and increase irritation level.

Diseases associated with occupational stress :

Stressful working conditions can leads to behavioral, physical, and psychological strains.There are many diseases that occurs just due to stress such as obesity,hypertension,week immune system,cardiovascular related issues,Depression,alcoholism,Insomnia.

Apart from above mentioned disorder if any one is undergoing stressful life then his or her life is at risk.He or she may even loose out the life in such condition.

In order to manage  stress in the employees of an organization , it is important to take effective actions. This not only helps to increase  employee performance, but also increases the scope for team and organizational development.The team becomes more focused and alingned towards their objective. Most importantly, it is a legal responsibility of a HR managers to “diagnose, treat, and rehabilitate” the employees who so ever are experiencing stress at workplace. Effective stress management solutions helps an employee to develop ther personel being and inculcate posititvity inside them.

The important function that an HR manager should do regarding this work related stress are:

a)Understand an employee is undergoing stress ,hence what is the cause behind that and how he or she can help the employee to overcome the work related stress.

b)A comprehensive stress related policices must be framed in any organization.

c)Open communication platform is very important so that if any employee is suffering from work related issue he or she can come up to the management and speak out.

d)Co-ordinate with various deparments along with helath department in formulation amnd implementation of solution provided regarding any stressed employee.
