It is also important as high employee turnover rates result in high costs to the companies. The company incurs high costs when the trained employees leave and also when new employees have to be hired and trained. Therefore if this metric is used effectively, it can help a hospital to reduce its costs by reviewing and changing its HR practices and strategies. The hospitals having high turnover can investigate and improve the working conditions inside the organization. It can also help the hospitals to retain and attract talent as people like to join and work in the organizations that have low turnover rates. High turnover rates create a negative employer branding and makes it difficult for the hospitals to attract talent.
