Although Romeo and Juliet might be the first story that comes to mind when someone is asked to name a great love story, it is certainly not the only one. Choose your favorite love story from literature, film, or song, and, considering the kinds of love discussed in this chapter (eros, agape, romantic, family), describe which kind of love is represented in the story and what the story implies about the nature of true love.
Do so in 150 words.
One of the most romantic lovers in the history is the Mogul Emperor Shajahan who built Taj Mahal for his loving wife Mumtaj. This is because of the reason that he was a king and he had more wives and he was not required to treat one above the others and spend nearly 22 years and used the labour of nearly 20000 people. Considering the time period, the religion he belonged to and the power he had, it was necessary for him to build such a mega structure for the love for a woman. It’s one of the seven modern wonders of the world attracting lovers from across the world and stands tall for nearly 350 years. This would mean that when people are caught up in real life, they would go to any extent of spending their material, physical, psychological energy and resources for the one they love and this would prove their selfless love.
