I am an electrical engineering in a construction company. My work to execute the construction work related to power sector. I have many responsibilities to execute like to execute the foundation work of transmission tower, erection of the power transmission of tower and conductor stringing on this tower. After that, I have to do post monitor of the project so that we can avoid any fault. So I have paid by the company for my above engineering job. They also monitor my whole year performance and also monitor my ability to execute the work in a minimum time. Then the management took the feedback from my senior about my performance. After this appraisal, they decide my increment in salary.

Yes, definitely the amount paid by the company motivates me to work hard. They always take care of the facilities which should be provided by the company to execute the work. They also take engineers feedback timely to monitor the company structure. They also provide the other facilities to motivate the employees like salary on time, timely performance appraisal, bonus on festivals etc. So these things definitely motivate to work hard for the company.

According to me Hertzberg theory best explains the motivation in the organization. This is also called two-factor theories. These factors are motivational factors and hygiene factors. Motivational factor means if we provide the facilities which encourage employees to work then they will give the better output. For example, if we recognized their work, provide a healthy environment at the workplace or give an award for their hard work, then these will motivate them to work better in the workplace. If we talk about the other factor, Hygiene factor includes good salary, compensation, bonus etc. If we provide all these faculties to our workers then this will help to increase the output of the employees. So according to me this is the best theory to explain, how to motivate the employees and can get the best output from them.

If we go the journals and read them then we will also observe that direct and indirect both benefits need to motivate the employees. Direct benefits mean we have to give them good salary according to their work; we have to give them a timely bonus on different occasions and also provide them timely appraisal which they deserve. We have to also provide them indirect benefits like to give recognition of their work, give an award for their hard work and also provide a healthy environment to work hard in the workplace.

So from the above discussion, we can observe that we have to take care of our employees so that we can get better output from the employees at the workplace and also provide all kinds of facilities which they deserve.
