Answer:-

OSI model was the primary model to change the substance of network registering. It is a system utilized for institutionalization of how two PCs can address each other over a network independent of their area.

OSI model prior had 7 layers, yet since the layers are not sharp enough, it is currently being changed onto a less difficult 5 layer model for better understanding.

1.Application Layer:

This is the top most layer. This layer permits clients to interface with PC applications and send data over network.

2.Transport Layer:

This layer is liable for making start to finish association between source IP and goal IP and furthermore for conveying messages between them.

3.Network Layer:

This layer is liable for tending to and directing starting with one PC then onto the next one.

4.DataLink Layer:

This layer guarantees that information streams are transmitted precisely from Physical layer to Network layer and it likewise deals with blunder taking care of.

5.Physical Layer:

This is where information is physically moved. It is answerable for encoding and flagging capacities where information is changed from bits to signals.

We need this model since it gives an answer for network security issues and all the issues where we have to cause PCs to address each other everywhere throughout the world.
