Since OSI model is a virtual model; based on your reading this week, why do you think the data communication industry would use the layered OSI reference model? What does modeling mean to you? How would you model something from your life now that you know about technology models? Be creative and interact with your classmates. Get started on the discussions early in the week and tell your classmates what you think about their posts.

Expert Solution

OSI reference model.

In the history of data communication over network, no one can enter this field without aware of OSI model. Open System Interconnection, which gives a standard model for the network systems. It defines a prototype for clients and underlying technology involved.

Why Data Communication Industry make use of OSI reference model

In modern world, technology achieves everything as possible. Once before a new technology arrives we are not aware of it and after get along with new technology we can learn it completely. But there should be a standard for every technology, since the learner and user may be of different in learning and analysing skill. So a common model requires to demonstrate the basic of the technology, without it one can't achieve the full model.

Like alphabets required for english language, which is the base, like the same way OSI model forms the base for the Network Data Communication Field. Through the basic understanding of this model one can deep dive into technology and can design various data communication system with reference to the OSI model, which the overall world following for data communication.

Modelling Means

Modelling means giving a virtual representation to idea in our mind. In technology if I would like to achieve a new tech which was going to be new to the world and it was only known to my mind. At that time simply representing thourgh verbal ideas will not be effective and interactive. In that case modelling will play a better role.Modelling doesn't give the exact product, but it will tell the overall schema of the future product and will be helpful for the viewers to imagine the product.

To design something technical in my life, my task is to analyse and collect base idea about the technology and what is available so far. Once after collecting proper data, present the data in the form of text, images, patterns, field values, in which way it will be easy for the end user to understand.

If possible will design miniature model for the complete product, to test and demonstarte the samples. With the base model one can develop the complete produc, making it as reference.

From the reading this week, you will learn about the basic model that we use to explain the entire economy, aggregate demand-aggregate supply.
