  1. Occipital lobe that interprets what a person see. An injury to occipital love results in visual field cuts,difficulty in seeing objects or colours, hallucinations,blindness,poor processing of visual information.
  2. Parietal lobe controls movements and sensation of body. Injury causes Gerstmanns Syndrome that includes right-left confusion,agraphia,acalculia,aphasia,agnosia.
  3. Temporal lobe controls language,emotions and assists with memory.Injury may result in difficulty in placing words or picture into categories,aphasia,loss of inhibition of talking.
  4. Frontal lobe is responsible for behaviour, judgement skills,memory,movement of eyes and trunk. Injury may result in memory loss,changes in behaviour
  5. Brainstem connects brain with spinal cord and injury results in dizziness,paralysis,coma and death.

  • Mild : Brief loss of consciousness,headache,nausea,dizziness.
  • Moderate : Loss of consciousness for 24 hours,short term memory loss, confusion.
  • Severe : long term memory loss,cognitive issues,paralysis,coma.
