It is important to abide by the law of land that generally encompasses the environmental protection measures, release and disposal of industrial wastes, workers and employee rights, fair wages, avoiding discrimination and providing good working conditions. The legal dimensions of corporate social responsibility also includes the rights of consumers and their protection as per the constitution. Thus ,foremost corporate social responsibility is ensuring that the company follows the rules and regulations related to environmental protection, employees and customers so that they are not harmed by the corporate activities.

The laws of different countries, special interest groups, employees, shareholders and consumers consider the legal responsibilities of the corporates as extremely important and form perceptions about such businesses accordingly.
