Some of the planning activities in Project schedule management are creation of schedule management plan, defining activities, sequencing of the activities, estimate activity resources, estimate activity duration and develop relevant schedule. Some of the inputs which are required in this are enterprise environmental factors, project scope statement, WBS structure, organizational process assets, project management plan, resource calendars, activity lists and related attributes, approved change requests, and activity duration estimates. The outputs of the project schedule management are schedule baselines, project schedule, schedule data, project calendars, project management plan update and project documents updates. Therefore, this helps in establishing policies, procedures and overall documentation and this would offer guidance and direction on project schedule management throughout the project lifecycle.
