give feedback on the following response,
The root cause of Loretta's problem is that she stays to herself too much so not a lot of people know much about her because she does not communicate a lot with others. Also it seems like because she does not open herself up to others when people come and talk to her she is bossy and demanding and wants respect from everyone. Loretta has to learn that if she wants respect it have to be earned and not given.
Loretta can start off by doing these following actions:
Be friendly and make a connection (Axner, n.d., p. 1). Loretta seems very much to herself and does not like to chat or connect with people. So in order for her revaluation reviews to change she has to be open to getting to know her co-workers and be kind to the people. In an environment where one is surrounded by their co-workers all day there needs to be some type of co-existence between everyone. This is a good way for Loretta to get out of her comfort zone and open up with others.
Tell people about yourself (Axner, n.d., p. 1). People won't trust you unless you are willing to trust them. Tell them what you genuinely care about and what you think. Loretta should get to know everyone she is working with as well as letting people get to know her, Loretta seems like she just goes to work, does her job and then go home. In order for Loretta get gain trust from her employees she has to be willing to tell people about herself, so that way they are able to see she is a better person then they think she is.
Go places and do things (Axner, n.d., p. 1).Loretta should go out with her co-workers whether it is a lunch outing or even some time to relax after a long work week. Going out and doing things with co-workers will allow Loretta to see how her employees act and show her that they are not as bad as she thinks they are. Going places and doing things is a great way to build relationships with co-workers and also it shows that Loretta is interested in their time and wants to be around them. Also this will allow the co-workers to see Loretta is really not the person they think she is the bossy and mean and not so caring person.
These three actions Loretta should take into play and demonstrate to show her co-workers she is not that mean, bossy, independent person.

This is in refrence to the following case senerio ,
Case Scenario:
Mr. Barney, the CEO, has received your memo request to be considered for further leadership positions. He has decided to put you to the test! He assigns you to help his Director of Payroll, Loretta Cash with a problem.
You walk over to Payroll and visit Loretta. She is visibly upset. She has just received her annual performance review from her manager. This is a 6-month review, as Loretta was recently assigned to this role after working with great success for 10 years in another area of the Accounting Department. As part of this review, her manager interviewed the six members of the Payroll Department, who all answer to Loretta. Loretta shares with you some of their comments:
“Loretta marched in here thinking she knows everything. She doesn’t want to listen to any of our ideas. It’s her way or the highway.”
“We really don’t know Loretta all that well. She keeps to herself…except of course when payroll deadlines are due, and then she’s all over our backs.”
“She acts as if she is perfect. I’m scared of getting yelled at when I make a mistake.”
“Most times, Loretta is fine, but when we have a deadline she micromanages us. I literally dread coming in to work on days payroll is due because I know Loretta will be watching over us like a hawk.”
Answer the following questions, and support your answers with the course materials:
What is the root cause of Loretta’s problem?
List three specific recommendations that Loretta can do today to turn this situation around. Make sure the three recommendations are actionable (in other words, Loretta can take your advice and put it into practice immediately) and specific (in other words, not too general that it cannot be easily understood). For example, “improve communication skills” is not actionable today, and too general to be clearly understood. However, “give immediate feedback to demonstrate she is actively listening” can be put into practice today and is specific enough to be understood. (Do not use this example in your answer!).
Answer.
The primary cause for Loretta’s problem behaviour at the workplace is her anxiety about work and difficulty in controlling her anger and frustration during deadlines especially towards her junior employees. Moreover, being a social recluse has adversely affected her image in the office as a cold and arrogant person which may not be the case in actuality.
However, her low appraisal does not mean that she cannot change the outcomes and modify her behaviour. In order to bring about effective change, Loretta can consider the following suggestions:
Firstly, in order for the re-evaluation ratings to change over time, Loretta can consider establishing more open and warm communication in her team such as by giving them verbal encouragements like “ I know there is a lot of work but I have full faith in your capacity and skills to meet the deadline.”
Another strategy of changing her image in the office is by inviting regular feedback and inputs from her co-workers about the team’s performance. For instance, during an office review meeting, she can take suggestions of her employees on board “ what do you think about this? Are we on the same page?”. Such responses would allow them to see Loretta as a balanced and open leader who likes to share her responsibility.
a third way by which she can change her image at her workplace is by spending more time with her employees and asking them about their personal lives, family, what do they like to do in their spare time etc. outside the workplace such as by eating lunch together with them.
