Explain how projectized organization structure would affect process management versus matrix organizational structure and functional organizational strucutre adn explain why?
Projectized organization structure would affect process management by simplifying the process in terms of team orientation with respect to project specific teams and not function specific teams or cross teams as present in matrix organization. Projectized organization structure is focussed around teams focussed on execution of project. These teams are headed by project manager and consist of different department managers such as marketing, finance, operations etc. All the team members report to their respective department managers who in turn report to the project manager. Hence such different projects which run in the organization have this kind of structure and the organization structure is hence goverened by projectized organization structure. The process management in this kind of structure aims to study the effectiveness and efficiency of execution of the individual projects and then the organizational efficiency is calculated based on the individual project efficiency. Whereas in functional and matrix organizational structure, more importance is given to the efficiency of different functions such as marketing, finance, operations etc rather than focusing on individual projects. Hence the organizational efficiency is calculated in different manner in these different organizational structures.
