Two signs of good strategy execution-
Organizational structure – is a well-defined system that ensures that a process if followed at different levels in the organisation so that the shared objective is met within stipulated timelines and within expected quality. It also ensures that what is the hierarchy of the organisation and how data and information is transmitted from one node in the organisation to another.
Simple organizational structure – In such a structure the control is more or less centralised i.e. employees do not have much say rather the owner and certain stakeholders makes all the decisions that are implemented across the organisation, the spans of control are also wider and there is no well-defined hierarchy. It is well suited for a smaller organisation but for a larger one this would not be effective.
Functional organizational structure – This relates to the employees in the organisation i.e. which person would be doing what role and what would be the scope of his or her functions, it is generally used to make a process around the employees and their day to day tasks. It ensures that the right person is at the right job.
Multidivisional organizational structure – In such a structure the entire organisation is broken into parts and each part corresponds to a certain department, that department or unit is given a predefined target which is in alignment with the end shared goal that the company is trying to achieve.
