Scrum:- It was founded by Jeff Sutherland alongwith Ken Schwaber in 1990 to help the organization with complex projects It is an agile process which manages complex knowledge work with an emphasis on software development. It includes knowledge regarding the framework, values, different roles, meetings backlogs, improving efficiency and quality. In the scrum process something is left on scrum software development team because the team will know the best how to solve the problem presented instead of providing complete detailed description regarding a project. It is a way to synchronize the work of team members when they discuss the work, it also reviews the work of the team. The feedback loop within the scrum helps in improving the work culture.

Agile software - It comprises of various software development within which both requirements & solution are evolved to the collaborative effort of self organizing and cross functional team and their customers.

1. It encourages rapid & flexible response

2. It is a combination of individual and interactions of process and tools.

3. The sofyware has a comprehensive working documentation.

4. It promotes customer collaboration over contract negotiation.

5. It encourages response of the team work.

Scrum used in synthesis of a medical billing system:-

Medical billing is a complex and integral part of the modern health care industry. The billing system depends upon three types of system-

1. Patient - Patient's history regarding the disease and their admission and registration is accounted for.

2. Heajth care provider - It includes hospital, physicians, therapist, emergency room etc.

3. Insurance company or payer - It includes patient, demographic information, medical history and insurance coverage

Medical billing system through scrum is a popular agile software development method that takes the waterfall process and compresses it into a much shorter development cycle called sprint. A sprint lasts from two to four weeks and include five phases of development from the waterfall method as under:

1. Planning meeting - It has two parts - a) development capacity by using system of point

b) assigning a point value from the start at the top and estimating all the work involved. When total no. of points reaches its capacity they stop.

2. Work in the departmental personnel - This helps in getting the details regarding the discharge of the patient, their invoice statement .

3. Payment of bill by the customer which may be done by mannual/ electronic system

4. Reimbursement for the patient's invoice may either be paid or denied depending upon the types of claim accepted by the hospital industry.

Diagramatically the scrum used i the synthesis of medical billing is as under:
