captain’s corkscrew - Its a device which is used to open bottles by removing corks. It has a handle with twisted metal rod.
charmat method- Its a sparkling wine making process that traps bubble in wine via carbonation.in large tank of steels.
coaster - A small mat which is used to put bottles or cups on , generally are kept on tables
corked- It is used in terms of wine, spoilt by a musty taint because of the fault in cork.
crown cap – It is a bottle opener with a twisted metal rod placed on it.

rosé wine- Rose wine is a type of wine which is made of dark coloured grapes. It incorporates some colour from the grapes but cannot be considered as red wine.
sparkling wine -It is a kind of wine which has significant level of Carbon di oxide, commonly known as champagne.
still wine – Still wine is normal and most common table wine and contain no carbon di oxide. The carbon di oxide is a part of the fermentation process but is released when yeast and sugar mix. So, like sparkling wine, still wine also had contained CO2 but is removed later in the process. It contains approx. 8-15% alcohol.
synthetic cork – Synthetic cork are made to look similar to normal wood cork. These are made of either petrochemical based plastic or plant-based plastic. So, unlike natural cork which are biodegradable, synthetic corks are recyclable. These corks are designed to look and “pop” in the same way as natural cork and are much cheaper compared to traditional wooden cork. Disadvantage of using synthetic cork includes risk of harmful air entering the bottle after as little as 18 months and difficulty to reseal the wine bottle with this cork.
tasting pour – It is the quantity of wine served for wine tasting. A standard tasting pour is around half of the regular serving. It’s around 2-3 ounces (75-90 ml). Typically, a bottle may contain around 10 – 12 taste servings.
transfer method – It is a process in wine making where, after fermentation, wine is transferred to a pressure tank. The wine is then filtered under pressure and bottled.
vintage wine – Wine made from grapes that are primarily grown and harvested in a single specific year.
white wine – White wine is light yellow, yellow-green, yellow-golden in colour and is made of non-coloured pulp of grapes. White wine is mainly made from white grapes which are green or yellow in colour.
Wine – Wine is an alcoholic drink typically made from fermented grapes. Yeast is used for fermentation which consumes sugar in the grapes and converts it into ethanol, carbon di oxide and heat. By using different quality of grapes and different fermentation processes, several variety of wines are made.
wine bucket – Wine bucket is a bucket of ice used to chill a bottle of wine. Wine bottle is simply placed in the bucket full of ice and left for some time to cool.
Zork – It is one of the earliest interactive fiction computer game known best for the quality of story telling and the sophistication of text parser.
