How is an instructional strategy different from a design plan in training program ?
Instructional strategy is a technique which is used by the trainers or professionals to have an independent learning. It is exactly opposite of traditional learning. It is systematic and translates instructions into activities. It is properly planned and focuses on the plan only. This type of training is based on experience and not rote memorization and thus is more effective and retains for a longer period of time. It is also innovative, fun and step by step procedure.
On the other hand design plan includes documents where the learning objective is decided, what kind of training is required, analyzing the budget of the training and later evaluating that whether the objective has been met or not. It is an entire framework of designing the training and not just a strategy which is used. It also includes various methods and tools to be used and requires documentation and evidence as contrast to instructional strategy. Thus its an entire process and strategy is a part of this process.
