Program Design
As you design your training program, you must consider three stages: pre-training, learning event, and post-training. Select one stage and discuss the critical elements of that stage. What can you do as a designer to assure learning in that stage and promote transfer of learning to the workplace?
Program Design : Program Design is a frame work in order to design the training programmes to the trainees in a workplace .
To design a program it imnvolves three stages which are Pre-training, Learning event an post training .
Pretraining : is one of the most important stage of program design . In this stage we need to understand the skills and interest of the employee . We need to also understand the individual in order to design a set training program as we need to work on certain areas of development of a particular skill .
Critical Elements of pre training :
As a designer , To ensure learning , Initially a person must be interested in the training in order to learn something . Hence i would suggest to do some amount of learning into the training subjects and to create interest which stimulates learning automatically, We would assign pre training assigments which would make an impact on learning and to ensure promote transfer of knowledge we would suggest group work and team work which gives a lot of scope for sharing of knowledge and ideas with the whole group . so many ideas would pour in from different people so everyone would be able to learn a lot of ideas which promotes learning in worksplace .
