Nike is a global athletic footwear and apparel company. The company has presence across the world. The company uses the fundamental of psychographic segmentation in which the customer market is divided in groups based on their traits, lifestyle, attitude, etc. As Nike has offerings in various product segments, it uses differentiated targeting strategy.
The marketing mix of the company is as follows:
· Product: The company offers a wide variety of products like athletic shoes, activewear, bags, etc. The company follows differentiation strategy to come up with various products.
· Place: As Nike has global coverage, the placement strategy of the company covers stores across the world. Nike also has dedicated showrooms located at prime locations, to facilitate easy accessibility by customers.
· Price: Nike uses value based pricing strategy for its products. The pricing of the product is based on the value addition which it brings in the lives of the customers.
· Promotion: Nike believes in Celebrity endorsements. There are various famous athletes who promote Nike’s products. The company has an active and wide network on social media. this helps the company to maintain a direct interaction with millennials.
