The decision on departmentalizing depends on the company and industry, but what method would work best for a typical American company company, for your company, or a company you know? These organizing principles apply to most any organization - as an example, how would you organize your community association?
Departmentalization depends on the type of the company , size, expand of the company , type of environment it is operating in , requirements of the company and the employees and supply chain of the company . When we consider some typical US company , it's requirements would vary from other companies and this would determine the method in which the company needs to be divided . For example companies in US would have more diversity and would be more expanded globally . Hence they need departments to deal with local products, international products, diverse work conditions etc., When we come to some other company which is not globally expanded, it would require local administration and local marketing which would mean the division of departments must be in another method. Thereofre the departmentalizing of companies depends on the requirements of that company . When it comes to community association, it depends on the number of people in the community, level of diversity and other requirements of the community. We need to to prioritise the requirements and organize a planned association which is helpful and unbiased.
