Most of the popular media, televison files impact nurse images to the public perception and progression in a negative way. In world war II nurses portrayed as a heroes and they care, compassionate and show they admirable occupation that inspire others. TV media shows portyared nurses as a sympathetic character and it was not showing their real skills and their critical function in real life. It shows nurses as a handmaid, servants, unprofessional,unintelligent, undereducated people, un caring , heart breakers, hell raisers, fun-seekers, etc. Now, this media and TV shows demonstrate nurses with false information to the public. example: TV shows and dramas like scrubbing in, a man of the house, doctors little helper, scrubs spoiled the images of nurses. Actually in the 21-century nurse is seen as a true backbone of the hospital. These images should be improved by showing nurses in a positive way and impressive characters. nurses hard work as a professional to the public, ongoing education, their strategic position as a case manager, clinical care specialist, nurse educator, nurse advocate, nurse researcher can be shown to the public through social medical and internet what nurses really do and what they are.
