(First Question)

What have you observed about children in these two age groups early childhood and middle childhood?

(1)Early childhood (usually defined as birth to year 8) is a time of tremendous physical, cognitive, socio-emotional, and language development. During this stage, children are highly influenced by the environment and the people that surround them.

(2)Middle childhood (usually defined as ages 6 to 12) is a time when children develop foundational skills for building healthy social relationships and learn roles that will prepare them for adolescence and adulthood.

(Second Question)

Do your readings from the textbook experiencing the lifespan 5th edition challenge or confirm any of the beliefs you might have had about children in these age groups prior to reading the textbook information?

I had prior belief that upto age of 6, a child develops a lot of cognitive abilities such as speaking, bit underatanding of things, some motor skills.

My reading of textbook has confirmed that belief.
