As there are many advancement opportunities barriers for women and minorities in many organisations some of them are such as
Organizational support in this organization doesn't support women and don't want them to develop, retain and get promotion according to their talent. As they have to suffer from gender pay gap in which they aren't equally paid as same as men when working in a same organization and same job of the same tasks.
Family related barriers because from decades society has thinking for women to work in home and take up responsibilities of men and his family and also from childhood they are being developed to this. As these trends are more likely to be seen in asian countries.
Individual related barriers as they are considered to be lacking of confidence in this and the organization consider them as being in minority position. As women's are considered in lack of education attainment, skills, experience and proficiency along with age to perform tasks individually.
As women's have higher unemployment rates as compared to men.
But title VII in this discrimination based on race, sex, religion eliminate the problem on sex based jobs and equal pay act are there to protect women and minorities on wages based on sex which allows them to get equally paid as men getting for the same job.
