Informational interviewing is an underutilized strategy used in the process of jobsearch. It could be an great effective networking tool as it will help a job seeker to grab the relevant job oppurtunities with some of his networks like friends, colleagues,social networking like LinkedIn etc. This all helps to understand about the company, its working culture ,their objective and all the things which we can able to grab by use of different network.Its just like touching the feet in the pool of cold water to understand, is it OK the swim inside the pool or better to leave it.
Yes, i will plan on conducting an informational interview to know about the company which i will be joining.Infact before joining my recent company i inquire many employees who are working with the company ,through LinkedIn, Facebook and personal meeting. After getting the positive response from them , i took final decision the left my previous company and join the new one.
