1) Yes, in my opinion people can be trained to be a salesperson. There are a numerous ways to approach sales however all tend to rely on the similar skills sets. Since these are skills, not talents: talents are inborn, however skills can be learned with classes and good practice section. Thus in my opinion people can be trained o be an effective salesperson, and efficient salesperson can achieve great success by honing the sales skills such as self confidence, good listener. Even the best salesman is always follows a work in progress to get better and improve their skills. Anyone find an approach to develop their skills, learn more about the products and services, and work on the pitch. However the drive to constantly improve you has to come from within the person.

2) --Active listener: Good listening skills can assist the reps empathize with prospects to learn more about the organisation and pain points. When salesperson listen to prospects it build trust and a more valuable relationship; thus helps to offer a better solution and can then sell more effectively.

-- Self-confidence: Selling can be a difficult task; however it's impossible when a person lack self-confidence. It is the most vital skill a salesperson must cultivate because if they believe in themselves then only buyer will believe them

-- Communication: Sales person should have knowledge about the language and possess good communication skills to deliver the product details to the buyer.

-- Self-motivation: Even the best salesman is always follows a work in progress to get better and improve their skills. Anyone find an approach to develop their skills, learn more about the products and services, and work on the pitch. However the drive to constantly improve you has to come from within the person which can lead to enhancement in their skills.

-- Time management: The management of time is very important as those who value time are always highly productive

--Persistence: It is the most critical traits for salesperson because if they quit and give up too easily when prospective buyer "go dark" or don't respond they will loss several deals.
