The method of RCT (randomized controlled trial) has some limitations.
Very briefly write about one limitation of RCT
Randomisation avoids outcome being distorted or intentionally manipulated. The findings may be affected by both participants and researchers when the researchers randomly allocate participants to the classes.
This skewing of results is referred to by scientists as
selection bias. By removing the factor of preference an RCT gets
rid of the selection bias.
In a randomized controlled trial, the aim of a control group is to
help minimize the probability that any advantages or risks found by
the researchers during the study arise due to factors outside of
the experimental procedure.
It can be difficult to get a real placebo and mask it. In certain cases it is immoral to offer placebo.
The following functional constraints that interrupt the designs for an RCT: procedures that are more invasive, including instruments or surgery, in the comparison community may not be technically mock-upable.
Too few individuals may have a certain illness and may also be eligible in both care and non-treatment categories for review.
It may be too difficult to attract participants to a given court.
