The Vietnam War was a counterinsurgency that involved us in guerilla warfare that was similar, in some ways, to what we face in Afghanistan today. But the way the Vietnam War was conducted was considered to be immoral and unjust by many. Describe the prevailing arguments of what constitutes a "Just War," and assess the justice of the Vietnam War in that context. Was it a Just War or not? When can violence be morally justifiable?
The prevailing arguments what constitutes a "Just War" are as follows :-
(1) To knew at what stage it's time to declare a war is quite important because sometime ta small misunderstanding can result in a long lasting struggle while the issue is not that big.
(2) Their will be a valid reason for launching an attack on any country or there is a intel about an attack being launched from that side. For eg. When Pakistan captures Indian post in Kargil deliberately to threaten Indian,Then India launched a Full fledged Strike against Pakistan. This is totally justified because the reason in valid.
This whole issue is totally immoral and unjust because The intervention of US in Vietnam's Civil crisis is totally wrong and the dictatorship in Vietnam was also very corrupt. So to defend this type of government can't be considered as a wise step. This whole war was not anyhow a win win situation for the US.
This whole War is unjust, And over 2/3rd of the American majority believe it as a big blunder.
There are circumstances when Violence doesn't need any moral Justification. When it is upto You,YourFamily or on your Country's sake The violence is Justifiable.Only the reason needs to be justified Without having any wrong intentions.
