The below steps denote the sequence in the Recruitment process.

  1. Preliminary screening: This step is helpful in filtering the required qualification individuals from the candidates with unsuitable qualifications or under qualified individuals.
  2. Review of applicants and resume: The candidates shortlisted from the preliminary screening are reviewed and their resume is examined. The candidates with innovative profile and whose skill set matches with the job requirements are called for the next round of the interview.
  3. Selection test: This is a written test and the subject knowledge, aptitude, written skills and logical thinking of the individual are assessed.
  4. Employment interviews: Personal interview helps in knowing the communication skills and social skills of the applicant. This method helps the interviewer to compare the applicants with other potential applicants and take the decision. This method helps the interviewer to confirm the subject knowledge of the applicant.
  5. Pre-employment screening: This step of the recruitment process deals with background verification. Background verification is essential to know the accuracy of commercial and financial records provided by the applicant. It also checks whether the applicant has any criminal cases. However, this step is highly time consuming and expensive.
  6. Selection decision: After an individual completes all the above steps, the interviewer then takes the decision whether to select the candidate or not.
  7. Offer of employment: If the interviewer is satisfied with the individual’s performance in all the above steps, he takes the decision to select the candidate. The selected candidate then gets the offer of the employment. This offer is a written document consisting of all the rules and regulations of the company, job description, compensation etc.
    The recruited individual is gone through all the below steps in order to be selected.
