The 4P's of creativity techniques are heuristics, based on the four factors. The 4P's of creativity has emerged from the creative thinking. of those techniques which are person, process, press, and product. Creativity is an innovation, experiment, or mental activity and was originated in 1961 by James Melvin Rhodes. He gave many definitions of creativity and explained the concept by giving creativity models too.

The techniques are explained below-

  1. Person- It can be any personality, trait, attitude, behavior, self-concept, etc. Rodes explains that a person can be anybody as any good communicator can be a leader, that his creativity is his behavior. For example, Ratan Tata, Indian industrialist former chairman of Tata Groups, is a very intelligent person and he will be creative.
  2. Process- The creative process is learning can be taught. The workers and employees are trained to be skilled and be creative in their habits. The people are motivated, perception is molded into a positive approach so that their regular way of thinking can be changed or processed.
  3. Press- Creativity press is the environment where a person functions and operates his creativity for the product. The press can be its resources or organizational culture. He uses his skills in the creative environment and follows innovative ideas.
  4. Product- This the end result of a person, process, and press creativity. This is an innovation and the success of the person's process. For Example- KFC founder Colonel Sanders was creative and his product with the creativity at the end was Kentucky Fried Chicken. This explains if the vision in the processing time is clear then the event leads to the idea.
