This week we learned about stress and the toll it can take on us psychologically and physically. We discussed many strategies for alleviating this stress in healthy ways. Stress in education can affect the ability to concentrate, and there have been studies conducted that prove that stress interferes with a student's ability to concentrate . In order to understand why it is so important to relax and not let stress affect your concentration and your studies, you must first understand the correlation between stress and concentration. Stress may also influence cognitive processes because it is associated with elevated levels of cortisol, a hormone that can influence brain functioning.Stress interferes with decision making, which in turn increases the risk in education. Understanding how stress affects attitudes and behaviors in education allows you to develop proactive solution.students may be stressed due to overtime studying, or poor family background develop changing attitudes and behaviors. Stress destroys education morale, which causes students to lose interest in their studies.Learning and memory take place at synapses, which are junctions through which brain cells communicate. These synapses reside on specialized branchlike protrusions on neurons called dendritic spines.brain's primary learning and memory center, led to the rapid disintegration of these dendritic spines, which in turn limited the ability of synapses to collect and store memories. severe stress lasting weeks or months can impair cell communication in the brain's learning and memory region.
