Discuss some characteristics unique to the executive/organizational coaching model. Discuss how coaching and consulting differ from each other.
Some of the characterstics of organziational coaching are:
i) Organizational coaching can take place when all the employees are united and they feel the need to develop strategies or take actions against organizational coaching. ii) It focusses of the groups in and related to orgnizatoin such as employees, team leads, corporate leads,customer and suppliers etc.iii) It mainly focuses on building self leaders, stengthing employees, helping in retention, achieveing new strategic objectieves
Organizational consulting refers to appointing of a third person, an independent trainer who trains the employees . The consultant is usually hired when the organization is not foing well, they are failing to meet their objectives. The consultant gives opinions to improve. The organizational coaching is started by the employees of the organization itself. It is mainly carried out in order to protect the organization from the threats.
