• The nursing facility tends to have flatter organizational structure due to limited services and staff members, while in case of acute care hospital, the organizational structure is seen as a tall organization due to different departments and increased number of staff members.
• The nursing facility is mainly associated with the sole proprietorships while in case of acute care hospital, these are seen as a corporation with GB or limited partnership having no GB
• The nursing facility mainly lacks the PSO (patient safety organization) while in case of actual care hospitals, there will always be a PSO
• The number of departments in case of the nursing unit is limited but in case of acute care hospitals, there will be a larger number of departments handling different operations
• The nursing facility has a very limited specialised staff and in case of emergency or specialized service, the patient is referred to other facilities. But in case of acute care hospital, there will be a number of specialised staff and departments in order to handle the varied service requirements.
• The nursing facilities are less complex and easy to manage in comparison to the acute care hospitals.
