Expert Solution

Telemedicine is a type of health care, in which treatment is provided from a distant region. The practice of telemedicine will be very useful for rural areas and may be lifesaving in most of the times. Telenursing is offering the nursing assistance through telecommunication when the patient's location is far away from the medical center. The nurses need to use teleconferences and remote operating medical devices. The usage of telemedicine is increasing in prisons and also the rural areas.

The interstate practice or the intercountry practice of telemedicine are prohibited in certain countries. Or the practicing nurse must have the license to practicing nursing in both the countries (the country of the nurse and where the patient is located). However, the Nursing Licensure Compact resolves some of these jurisdiction issues. The unresolved issues include the malpractice and accountability. The ethical concerns such as minimizing the harm to the patient, maintaining patient integrity, should also be met
