Does sex equality require forgetting sex? For equality to be present do our differences as people need to be ignored?

Answer.
In my opinion, it is difficult to ascertain equality between the ‘sexes’ as the two sexes namely, Male and female are biologically different, however, if we are to consider the question in terms of the issue of unequal treatment and social discrimination, then it would be more appropriate to discuss the differential treatment between males and females as a case of gender equality.
It is then that we can pursue the issue of Equality between the sexes more clearly. ‘gender equality’ would be a matter of equal treatment of both men and women irrespective of the differences in biological sex. An equal and fair treatment does not mean that one thinks about a gender-less world. Rather, equality would flow from an unbiased and objective attitude and behaviour such as when both girls and boys are given an equal and fair opportunity to take part in academic, sports, domestic activities, etc. based on their individual capabilities, skills, knowledge, etc. rather than based on normative gender roles such as ‘boys are stronger and therefore need to be selected in physical sports’.
