Divorce is almost always a stressful process for adults, but some children are more resilient and adaptive than others. Make a list of the possible ways parents can lessen some of a divorce’s negative effects on their children. Would it be harder for parents to get a divorce if they have children under age 18? Why or why not?

There are a number of ways the impact of divorce can be reduced on the children .The wyas are mentioned below.

• Avoiding speaking negatively about your partner - Parents should avoid speaking about the partner in a negative way . When children are exposed to such kind of behaviour they take it self and think inherently . They think they are also like the parent .It leads to self doubt and also results in anxiety in children
• Do not ask the child to choose between the parents - This decision should be taken by the parents mutually and the child should be kept out of this. This affects the child in the long term and creates probes in adulthood .
• Introduction of a new partner - Your new partner should be introduced slowly to the child to keep his or her interest .
• Avoid giving too much information to the child- Parents should avoid giving too much information to the child .The discussion and all the paperwork should remain between parent
• Avoid abusive behavior - Parents should avoid any kind of violent or abusive behavior in front of the child . It can induce a trauma in the child.

It is hard to for the parents to get divirce whose children are below 18 . This is because minor children need care and love .Seeing this kind of situation at home can hamper their development and lead to inconsistent behavior . Similarly children who live in these families are more likely to be discriminated against by the peers. Parents find it difficult to divirce because of the complication that will happen to children .For example financial support and emotional spport for minor children is important at this stage. And if only one parent is working then it becomes really difficulty .
