Business continuity plan is the plan adopted by the management through which a system is created for the prevention and recovery of the potential threats of the organization. The business continuity plan allows the organization to continue its business sustainably in the market. The systems cross checks the business plans with the FEMA checklists in order to ensure the efficiency of the system.
Best two strategies or practices that the management can include in their business continuity plan is the following
· Business impact analysis can be considered as a best practice as it can establish recovery objectives if there is any potential risks in the business plan of the organization.
· Documentation of the planning is considered to be another best practice. This practice is considered to be best as it enables the recovery and restoration process effective.
Business continuity plan cycle includes analysis, solution design, implementation, testing and acceptance, maintenance. Business impact analysis can be done on the initial stage of the business continuity plan. Documentation of the plan can be done during the second stage that is in the solution design stage. Proper documentation of the plan in the initial sage itself can make the accessibility, recovery etc much easier. These two strategies can make the BCP easier.
