In a two-page paper, define and talk about the qualities that make a good (effective) leader. Please elaborate on and explain these qualities. I encourage you to give examples of good (effective) and bad (ineffective) leadership from your own experience. You may use any content that you find in our textbook and cite outside sources on this subject (on a “Works Cited” page). The important qualities of a good leader are as follows:
1) Excellent communication skills: An effective leader needs to be a good communicator such that he/she can communicate the plans and ideas to the stakeholders in unambiguous terms.
2) Decision-making skills: A good leader should be able to take timely and effective decisions.
3) Organizational and delegation skills: Another important skill for a successful leader is the ability to delegate responsibilities to his/her subordinates.
4) Leadership skills: A successful leader should be a good leader with the ability to motivate everyone in the team to put their best effort.
5) Effective negotiation skills: In a project with varied people working together, having conflicts due to differences in opinion is commonplace. A good leader in such situations should have good negiotion and conflict resolution skills.
6) Leading by examples: An effective leader always leads by example and thus sets an example for everyone else to follow.
