There can be different confict occured in the organisation. The conflict can be at business level or can be related to internal matters like anything associated with employees or manpower of the company. we can review both the example.

  • Internal conflicts within employees - There are different people work in the organisation with different background, status, education, looks and intelligence. When different people meet together, difference of opinion is bound to happen. The diffrence of opinion can be happened in work area, decision making or other preferences at work. Every individual wants to grow in their career. In order to seek for the pramotion, competition arrises among the employees and this can be lead to conflict. Apart from this, communication, gestures, attitude towards each other can also be topic for conflicts.

we can take the example on one female employee in my consultancy firm. This female employee makes lot of errors at work and her attitude towards coworkers in not healthy. She always try to prove how she is right and never understand other's point of view. In such situation, manager can have one on one meeting with her and explain her the problem area and company's expectation from her. The coworkers should give her more chances for improvement by providing assistance and help to her at work. This will be the first stage.

If the result is not positive after this stage, manager can issue a warning to her and make her understand the company's rules and regulation once again. One more opportunity should be given to her for improvisation. Manager can provide her training to enhance her skillset so that she can reduce the error. They can conduct fun activity withing team so that it will help to create good bonding with team members apart from work relation. This will be the second stage.

If management still does not see an expected positive changes, they can take up this matter to HR department and then HR team. HR team can assist to resolve the mistunderstanding between both the parties step wise with all the details. HR team with management can acknowledge the conflict and try to calm down both the parties. They can explain the role of every individual as per the designation. They can listen everyone's point of view and based on that form a resolution. They can set up a team meeting and ask for individual suggestions or resolution. This will help both the parties feel listened. Team can reach to one resolution with unanimous opinions can celebrate the decision together.

  • Conflicts associated with Business Vendors - If there is conflict associated with supplier, company can always deal with this matter as per rules and regulation of the organisation. The every deal with the outsiders or vendor should be in a form of legal contract with the clauses agreed by both the parties. so that if any conflict happens in future, we will have the legal document as a base for the terms and clauses finalised in the contract. The company can set up a meeting with suppliers and negotiate the contract terms. both the parties can disucss the causes of the confilct and find the mutual resolution by considering the clauses signed in the contract.
