US constitution does not include phrase separation of church and state,however separation of church and state started from England and later it came to America.

The meaning of separation of church and state is , federal government cannot commond or take over church or give instruction to church what to do or what not to do. In simple words , government will have no involvement in religion based decision made by church. And church has no business involved with state, so it is vice versa .It is like mind your own business.

Any person can follow what ever religion they want , no barriers in religion , right to chose religion , follow any god, government will not interfere in this. That means America is not a christian nation like Pakistan, Iran, Saudi Arabia , it means America is the country for all.

Public school will not teach religion, religion community can not make laws , it is not compulsary to attend church ,these are state rules.

It all started when president Thomas Jefferson wrote a letter to the Baptists of Danbury, Connecticut, who had requested clarification about the meaning of the First Amendment to the Constitution.

If one think it is good or bad , it depand on the outlook of a person , but in my opinion it is good.As there is not force conversion, no religious wars, heresy trials and many things are there which can be included.
