Idealist envisage a world free of power politics and violence.They believe in international organization and universal education.But it is difficult to crush totalitarianism with democratic ideals.But because of increasing disturbance in the world, idealism is not very encouraging.

Liberalists believe that multiple actors work in the international system like states,MNC's , NGO's. These actors are motivated by economic , social and military goals and there are various means to achieve these goals. Liberalists cooperate with other states because of the prospects of benefits which may be economic, technological or cultural.However according to liberalists the international law and trade reduce the impact of international system .Liberalists are against government interference in economic development..
