Using the Realism approach (one of the theories of international relations) discuss whether globalization
brings about a more stable global security environment. (250 words)
The globalization is a phenomena in a global level indicating increased connection between nation in terms of socioeconomic needs and objects, and the increased flow in ideas, cultures, people among the nations. The globalization has been subjected to several criticism, suggesting that it made some nation poorer and degraded their socioeconomci conditions. This called for several kinds of bargain and negotiations between the governing authorities of several nations. The global securty environment reflects the security issues like terrorism and increased crime by migrated people in different nations.
Globalization in its theoretical level atleast, provides a huge support to international trade's and finance's efficiency. Global production and trade demands mobility of capital, finance and labor. The most advancement of the global production can be possible with the free flow of labor among nations. But that flow has certainly causes some security problems. The flow of several unskilled labor, who work in developed and developing nation, have caused security issues around the world. But the problems were more political in nature, in the first place. The problem can certainly be reduced by increasing their living standards. That very flow, along with financial and capital flow, has the potential to reduce disparity among all the nation. Of course there might be the security issues, but those will certainly be a short run aspect, a rather temporary one. In the long run, globalization can bring about equity in the living standards of people, along with insitutions in different nations.
Hence, if governements of several nations should negotiate among each other about these very transfers, ignoring the short run effect, which might be a bit high, the long run effect will be a singularity in the living standards and different cultures, which might seem a bit hypothetical, but is and should be desired to ensure global security all over the world.
