Strategic management is all about managing vaious strategies like setting up goal, evaluating preset strategies etc. By using various such strategies only a company can achieve its target, its goal etc. These strategies help meet the competitive world.

Levi's Strauss & Co. is an american based clothing company which is mainly famous for its jeans. Its journey started in May 1853. It was founded by Levi Strauss a german immigrant. Right from the beginning levi's wanted his products to be differentiated from other. First thing, he did was adding a red tape to back of pockets . Its customised fitting jeans changed the perspective of clothing attitude.This transformation is as a result of certain strategies set by company which made it stand out in the market .Hence forth, the study of this case is included in our strategic management course.

"Levi's personal pair case Study "- Summary

Basically Levi's personal pair case study  is all about how customized jeans changed the traditional clothing and attitude of clothing in people. For this Levi's Strauss introduced the differentiation strategy , he wanted to differentiate his products or his products to outstand other clothings in market. He decided to make products looks branded and more authentic which made people fall for this products compared to other premium products . For this he faced a major challenge that is technology , as only with technology he could produce in large numbers and this would lead to cost reduction as well as innovative or creative ways of production. This lead Levi's to produce customized fitted jeans which gained the hearts of the customers. Today , Levi's is one of the best selling brand. With strategy of differentiation with premium pricing they achieved their goal set. This case study also focuses on value adding to products. Once a product is launched, it needs to be value added or in other wors, adding in essence to products can make it world's best products.

Now , taking the premium product case, Levi's managed the cost structure of products too, as profit is ultimate goal of all company's. For this, they sold their products through wholesale channels and then distributed by retailers. Levi's also maintains its chain named Original Levis stores. By using this strategy for costing, levi's truely made its ways into the hearts of its customer and ultimately satisfy their wants. This also made Levi's stand first among its competitors over a span of time.
